IISFM
(Integrated information System for Food grains Management)
The
"Integrated Information System for Food grains Management" (IISFM) is
a Web based Integrated Management Information System for FCI. It captures the complete
workflow of FCI from Depot to Head Office levels and extends a new way of
reconciliation of stock figures thereby transforming the current Depot set-up
into a computerized environment. Integrated Information System for Food grains
Management is divided into five modules to meet FCI hierarchical requirements.

The application uses component based
architecture, the main characteristic of multi-tier-layering model. Business
logic works between the user and data services by implementing business rules
which define how the application is working and controlling the data that is
being accessed, manipulated and interpreted for making business decisions.
With the implementation of the IISFM project, the Management Information System
is being strengthened by:
a) Ensuring the correctness of Depot Stock figures.
b) Making the data pertaining to storage and availability of stocks in various
type of storage i.e. open, covered
and silos available regularly.
c) Regular availability of unit wise data of day-to-day transactions like
receipts, issues, movement details and QC inspections.
d) Maintaining the stack-wise receipt and issue details.
This project has received CSI-Nihilent
