9; Food Corporation of India having its Corporate Office at Khadya Sadan, 16-20, Barakhamba Lane, New Delhi : 110 001. Under this, there are five Zonal Offices known as Zonal Office (N), Zonal Office (S), Zonal Office (W), Zonal Office (E) and Zonal Office (NE).
9; Food Corporation of India, West Zone was set-up on 1st March 1969.
9; The West Zone comprises of 5 States – ( Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh ) i.e. 4 Regions of FCI, viz Maharashtra including Goa, Gujarat including Union Territory of Daman, Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Monitoring of Quality in all major transactions, processes leading to improved customer satisfaction level
Accountability for efficiency, responsiveness, performance and minimization of all losses & Wastes
Need based up gradation of infrastructure and work environment
Need based enhancement of available knowledge & skills.

Establishing, maintaining and improving ISO 9001:2000 based Quality Management Systems covering all areas of activity.
OBJECTIVES
To provide farmers remunerative prices
To make food grains available at reasonable prices, particularly to vulnerable section of the society
To maintain buffer stocks as measure of Food Security
To intervene in market for price stabilization
